Manufacturing Day is an opportunity for local students to get a firsthand look at local manufacturing businesses. It is one way to inspire the next generation of manufacturers and occurs on the first Friday in October every year. Again, this year, M R Products, Inc., home of Mr. Chain, was privileged to take part in Manufacturing Day and hosted 52 students from Mesick School District.

The students toured the facilities viewing the actual processes from making the plastic chain to packaging and shipping it out the door. Besides exposing high school students to manufacturing, M R Products has had a summer internship program and an apprenticeship program. The Company currently has four employees enrolled in apprenticeship programs. There are two in the injection molding program, one in maintenance which maintains all the large equipment for the production of our products, and one in accounting and office management.

If you are a manufacturer and would like to participate in Manufacturing Day, contact MFG Day at www.mfgday.com for more information.
