National Small Business Week, June 17-21
Beginning in 1963, the President of the United States announced National Small Business Week to recognize the impact of small businesses and their owners on the economy. Small businesses are estimated to create every two out of three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
With the Small Business Administration leading the way, National Small Business week honors entrepreneurs and small business owners from the U.S. Mr. Chain can especially relate as a Certified Woman-Owned Small Business.
The tradition celebrates its 50th year and will, for the first time ever, travel to different cities across the U.S. during the week, kicking off in Seattle and wrapping up in Washington D.C. where the Small Business Person of the Year will be announced.
